GOP Senators To Defy Trump – Save NPR & PBS

At least four Senate Republicans are threatening to defy President Trump and preserve welfare funding for NPR and PBS. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which has become the propaganda megaphone of the Democrat Party, receives $1.1 billion in taxpayer assistance.

The renegade Republican senators include Lisa Murkowski (AK), Mike Rounds (SD), Susan Collins (ME) and Dan Sullivan (AK). And there may be more.

Congress has until July 18 to approve more than $9 billion in cuts the president’s rescissions package. The cuts target the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which oversees PBS and NPR, money for USAID and agencies like the U.S. Institute of Peace, which Trump aimed to dismantle via an executive order signed in February.

Yet the Republican-controlled Congress has been less than anxious to codify much of the president’s America First agenda.

“It is very important that all Republicans adhere to my Recissions Bill and, in particular, DEFUND THE CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING (PBS and NPR), which is worse than CNN & MSDNC put together,” Trump said.

President Trump threatened to find primary opponents to any Republican lawmaker who votes against his budget cuts.

“Any Republican that votes to allow this monstrosity to continue broadcasting will not have my support or Endorsement,” Trump added.

Call your senators and demand that they pass the DOGE cuts.
